Sorry for the delay folks, but I've wanted to get a few days both under my belt & in my own
Chastity Heaven cage before even attempting a review. And even with that time, I still know that more will be revealed. But I've had a few folks requesting my input, and after spending 6 of the last 7 days locked up, I feel I'm capable of giving my initial impressions.

Ya know what, I actually felt shy about this. I mean, how much more personal can something get for a guy than taking pictures of his willy and talking about it over and over. Sure, we think about it all the time, but normally I'd call this the epitome of TMI land. But I'm a grown up and hopefully ya'll are too - after all, you did click the "I'm a grown up" thing when you entered to read the blog. Anyway, I found it really funny to be sitting there typing about Rufus like that. Yah, his name is Rufus. õ.o
Overall: I'll put it simply, "
The Cage" chastity device, has impressed me. Very much so. Some of the things that I thought out of the bag were going to be issues aren't, and my biggest concern about any stainless steel belt (
the weight) is a total non-issue, at least so far. I say so far, because I know that the first days, or even weeks with a belt are really a honeymoon phase. I remember when I first got a CB-3000 and the sheer excitement of it, and the physical contact of being in it was unbearably exciting. Just by default I was excited at the prospect to such a degree that it took several different times wearing it before I got anything close to a "day to day" type of experience with it.
And I've found that every belt has that kind of impact - at least ones that you can make it a couple days in - unlike the disappointing
birdlocked device. So without further ado...
Workmanship: It's very clear that attention to detail went into this. The device is
totally solid. There is no give in the bars at all, and that's one thing I was concerned about initially. Getting "pinched" down there between two pieces of metal would've been no fun. Steel is very unforgiving, and just wearing it is an adjustment. As you can tell from the
photos (and I still feel weird putting
pictures of myself like that online - but hey, no need to be shy with my face hidden, right?) So, I'm wider at the base than the length, so much so that the actual base ring of the shaft is a snug, perfect fit. I have a bit of room in the shaft, which suits me just fine - and cleaning in this thing is just so easy it makes the trial of cleaning inside a 3000 seem like a Herculean task by comparison. I definitely don't feel like I'm keeping my fella in a sweat box all day too, and that's a huge plus - none of the stale smell that developed in the 3000 too. Phew.
Customization:Out of the bag I realized that the custom designed base that I have (with a pin - similar to the cb-2000 setup) might've been a challenge for the actual production. When I tried to slide my master
lock (
Someone really should market "Mistress" locks instead...) in didn't go smoothly at first. I couldn't spin it around to get it to lie flat. Frankly I was dismayed. I hadn't explained that as something important and looking at the site I realized some of the belts had locks on sideways. My OCD need for symmetry panicked. But that's all it was, panic. Turns out that I had to thread the lock through from the underside, and it fits perfectly. It's completely snug - again, no play in it. No awkward
clanking lock. I'm really pleased by that. I guess it's just the way it fits is snug enough that once it's set it has stayed nice and still - and quiet.
Stability: I was also very concerned about the small
stabilizing pins that go from the cage to the base ring. While it does require putting the belt on carefully, I've not had an issues with them... though I think it would be better if they were a bit more rounded - and I might try to smooth them a bit myself after I get more used to the belt. I was surprised to find that the fact that they don't go through the base ring is a plus. I assumed that since they're so small they wouldn't do as good a job stabilizing as the CB-3000 style, but they're actually better - in part I suspect because the cage & base ring are so close together (no spacers like with the 3000.) Also, not going through means one less place for hair to catch. The only place hairs can get caught for me are on the pin area, and I asked for the pin customization on the device. Additionally, since it is all so stable I have never caught a hair in it - which is definitely not something I can say about the 3000.
Base Ring: Another subtle but positive change is in the base ring. It is much thinner than the Miller styles - and that makes it more comfortable big time. It's also oval shaped rather than round, and I'm finding that fits more naturally. I'm a bit surprised and not sure if it's the oval shape or the thinner ring, but I'm not finding the need to re-adjust it as much as I did with the miller style. That might also be related to the different material - stainless steel vs poly carbonate.
Lubrication: This is was something that I wasn't sure I would need. The sales contact at Chastity Heaven said he prefers w/o it - but I've found for myself that I need it. I don't need nearly as much as I did with the 3000, but I spread a dollop of it around both the base ring and on the entrance ring of the cage shaft. I also put a bit on the head of my penis, which makes it slide down more easily. Stainless steel is actually a bit grippy. The device is totally smooth and polished, and maybe it's just natural body oils and such, but I find that the belt doesn't slide and move around on me the way that the other ones did. Then again, I'm using a lot less lube too. And I don't have to lubricate nearly as much as I used to. FWIW, I personally prefer A&D lubricant. It's water based, it's easy to apply and clean. Either way, I've found what lube works best (or lack of it) to be a very personal decision.
Urination: This is where the only real issue is coming up - the opening tip of the Chastity Heaven Cage device is a little small. It's setup with the vertical bars on the inside and the horizontal on the outside. Evidently it was changed to this design based on a customer suggestion - though I think I prefer it the other way. The way it is now, the
opening tip is too small for me to avoid possible spray anyway. Perhaps it's because of my natural left tendency, but I've always modified the tip of my CB-xxxx to make it
much wider - obviously steel isn't going to be that easy to change. Additionally, I think having the horizontal bands of the cage on the inside would be better for another reason - since the tip the urethra is vertical, if I'm not lined up dead center I find that the vertical bar can sometimes catch on tip. While that's not an issue in the short term, after a few days it does matter. And as I tend to lean left a bit - it's happening pretty regularly. It hasn't been torment, but fortunately the CH folks said that they can modify it for me. Normally that'd be something folks would have to mention when they order it, but it's good to be the web guy ;)
So once I get freed by my keyholder (after a record breaking 7.5 days in lockup and a special pre-b'day beat down on Monday) I'll be send it back for final alterations. It'll just be that much easier to pee without being too careful.
Security: The device has the same general design as the CB-XXXX line, and yes, the same security concern. I'm sure with some time and enough lube I could pull out the back of the device (though with the snug base ring fit and the tacky nature of the steel it'll be much tougher) - and then I could sneak an orgasm. But there's no way I could slip my balls out of the ring to take the whole device off. The setup has virtually no "spacer" room unlike the CB line, Which means unless your balls are
not going to get through.
The designer has contacted me recently to let me know that they are in the final stage of testing an optional add-on security device. It sounds pretty simple, but with the added unforgiving nature of steel I can see how it would really discourage anyone who's rambunctious enough to cheat. Personally, I think we've got very solid option with regards to security already, and it wasn't something I'd really planned on, my wife can use my Frenum piercing as a point to
put a second lock on. This dramatically increases the security of the device. And I have to admit, she seems a bit
intrigued about that idea. Now, I'm not 100% sure if I would have to wear it with something around the entire cage & lock to stabilize the second lock, but I've already been told that I will find out that for sure this weekend. And yes, if needed I could remove the captive bead from the ring and slip the 2nd lock off. And there's no way I could get that captive bead back on me while in the cage (which would be needed to slip the lock back in place w/o notice.) So while I could get off, I am 100% sure I couldn't get away with it. And that's just too damned hot to think about. *dreamy sigh*
