Dollhouse Domme

I've been meaning to get this entry and info up for a while, but I'm running up hill again. After the fabulous trip to LA (thanks again for being such an awesome hostess Mistress Kriss!) I got home, buried myself into some over due design work (both vanilla and kinky) and then promptly got a doozy of a head cold. I swear on Wed I was wandering around like a zombie.

Ugh. I'm definitely on the mend, but I'm still pretty looped.

A couple weeks ago on the TV show "Dollhouse" - previous blog entry or official site & wiki. The main character "Echo" played by Eliza Dushku was all dolled up in leathers and discussing the appeal of being a dominatrix. At best it was a light and silly scene, but hey - how many shows on prime time have a character who even for a moment shows herself as a confident and powerful sexual woman. Add in the full leathers and talking about BDSM?And for a bonus (although Eliza claims she's quit again) she's got such a totally deliciously smoker rasp that if she's given up cigarettes, I'm going to accuse her of still smoking something. ;)

I have to admit, I'm starting to wonder about Eliza. She definitely seems to get cast into these bad girl/dommy type roles a lot. Her big roles before this show were playing Buffy's tough as nails (and far hotter) rival, Faith on both Buffy the Vampire Slayer & Angel, and then playing Sissy, the leader of an all girl gang in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. And btw, the gang all wear delicious wet look catsuits for their big heist. You might also know her as the bad girl cheerleader in Bring It On, or from her TV show, Tru Calling, which lasted a couple of years.

The thing that makes me most wonder is that she's producing Dollhouse. Which means she's clearly in charge of what's going on. So when she's dressed all dommy, or her character is strutting around in these boots and referring to them as "comfortable shoes" - that says something to me. Generally I've found Dollhouse to be mediocre. Hopefully it'll pickup, but even if the plots and the characters are are a bit thin, at least there's plenty of eye candy. BTW, please don't misunderstand me, I really like the fact that Eliza has some idea of what pushes our buttons and I'm very happy to see it out there. And while it the series isn't yet quite as good as I hoped, it sure beats the pants off of the Friday night TV that I grew up on - Knight Rider & Buck Rogers.

And it makes me wonder just how empowered the next generations of women will be.

Daily Distraction 11 - a Top 20 list

On a vanilla board I frequent, there was a bit of a discussion about everyone's "top 20" beautiful women. Anticipation...

Oi! What a whirl wind trip to LA my love and I had. We caught up with some old friends, attended a lovely wedding, saw touristy things, sat in traffic a good bit, and definitely enjoyed the cooler weather. It was a lovely time.

And I'll tell ya, those LA ladies (not all mind you) sure know how to wear their heels. Wow. We saw more than a few strutting about in 5" heels - and that's 5" w/o platforms. Ok, a couple had platforms, but there were some really outstanding heels. Not so many great smokers, though I did catch one driving along in her car. She had every ounce of style and flair that just gets me. Of course the whole smoking in the car while we're all moving along only adds to the excitement (and risk) - plus, what woman isn't hotter when you are all moving along at 40MPH weaving in traffic? Did you know that women smoking while driving is a whole sub-fetish w/i the smoking community as well?

But even on the airplane last night, there was one attractive Asian woman was dressed for the red eye to Ft. Lauderdale wearing a pair of stiletto heeled boots. Yum!!! She couldn't possibly have taken them off, so she had chosen to sleep with her foot all arched up in her spike heels. And who says foot binding is dead?

Anyway, I'm still halfway between being asleep and awake and I figured I'd pop in and say hey. Anticipation... is making me wait.

Life's busy... and flying out tomorrow for an extended weekend in chilly Southern California. Why is it South Florida, but Southern California? And yes, it looks chilly, at least compared to what we've got. 70/50 is a whole lot cooler than 85/70.

Don't complain

I try not to complain. I try to keep an eye on the positive. Even in the midst of some of the tougher spots in my life, I've learned that there are always things to grow from and be inspired by. Bjork's song "Army of Me" reminds me of that. And this cover by Grisbi is just awesome.

CB-FAQ updated

I added a bit of information to the FAQ. Most of it is about the new birdlocked chastity device. It has made such a splash in the community since it's introduction, that I felt it deserved to be included. And while the birdlocked obviously isn't going to be perfect for everyone (neither is chastity in general) it is every bit as affordable as the AL Enterprise's CB-#### designs, and I suspect it's been profitable enough for the company that it is going to be here to stay. So just because of it's market share in the community of newer wearers, I felt it needed at least some specific mention.

Us guys can complain about anything. Even when you give them a super insanely hot picture like this and they'll say "I wish it were bigger" or "I wish there were more"Oh and I'm not sure when I found this originally or who it is, but the file name was: "elisabethrokendkorset" - but I can't find any actress of photographer named Elusabeth Rokend or Elisa Bethrokend - the closest I can find is an Elisabeth Rosen, but no pictures.

Oh, and I wish her lipstick was darker and more pronounced. ;)

As long as it isn't preceded by butch - though I'm sure that works for some guys. Smoking Tax!

Nope, not an April Fool's joke - there's a big fat smoking tax that went into effect today in the US - link. And I'm fine with it, smoking is an indulgence.

Except for models, who obviously need it as a food source. Perhaps we can make an exception? Well, at least models get highly compensated for their great training and sacrifices they make for society.

Along those lines, I think it's very inappropriate to deny a model her food source. You wouldn't go around just denying food to anyone or anything that needed it, and just because we don't fully understand their species doesn't mean we should force models to share their meals.

Strangely, some of my readers seem to doubt that models are actually surviving on the nutrition provided by nicotine. Some even seemed to get a bit snobby with me about the whole fetish thing. But I ask you, have you *ever* seen a model sit down and eat a hearty meal? It's just not something their specie does. Models have four food groups, and when they sit down for a meal together they always happily sharing. In case you weren't sure what they were, the four groups are diet coke, cigarettes, coffee and cocaine. At least that's what I've heard ;)
