Corset Girl - redux

I'm glad I mentioned on the Daily Distraction earlier this week that I thought there were more pictures of lovely corset girl out there. And I'm eve more glad that my readers are so awesome!

Thanks to one anonymous contributor who sent in two images, and particularly to Mr. rmtest who sent a zip file, I've got more lovely pictures to share. Rmtest sent about 30 images of corset girl, and another 25 or so from the same photo shoot(s) of other fetishy dressed kinky women.

The zip file is available at sharebee.com - Size: 2.2 MB

I put many of them into this collage as well, since she deserves it ;)Aarkeybabble : More lovely pictures of Corset Girl

Kink in Mainstream Media

Tonight at 11:10PM in NYC is a screening of "Graphic Sexual Horror" - a documentary by two women who worked on the insex.com web site. In case you don't know the background, insex.com was *THE* most intense female sub BDSM web site for a few years. They said that they had 35,000 members (and @60/month that's a nice stream of revenue...) yet, they got shut down by the misuse of the Patriot Act.Aarkeybabble : I have never been a criminal, but I am not close minded about it. In '05 the govt threatened the credit card companies that handled their transactions and that killed it.

The movie looks quite interesting - assuming you have an interest in the behind the scenes flavor of the adult industry.

They've got the trailers and more information on their site: graphicsexualhorror.com. And if you are free tonight in NYC maybe you should make plans ;)

In other news, someone mentioned to me about this MSNBC interview from this Monday with Dee Dee Myers' (who has done a lot of work with the Clintons) - about her book "Why Women Should Rule the World". The article focuses on the fact that women tend to work together while men tend to try to compete. One interesting point that is often overlooked is how male centric history is. The women who are mentioned are almost always mentioned in context to how they interacted with men, and a huge proportion of those women met with tragic ends. Anyway, here's the full story - MSNBC link.
Aarkeybabble : After a brief struggle any man would give up to a VS woman
I was out surfing the web to find out more information about that, I stumbled on blurb about (and correct me if I'm wrong) a Fox reality TV series that made it one season in the UK, and never showed in the US called - "When Women Rule the World". They filmed it in the Caribbean and the winning guy won $250K. There isn't much out there on the web that I could find: wiki entry. I guess it wasn't as exciting as it sounds in this FOX.com preview - "How will the men react? How will the women treat the men? Will the men learn what life is like for some women in today’s world?" Maybe if they made the men have long nails, wear corsets & heels it definitely would have been interesting.

And last, but definitely not least, two stories from our intrepid reporter in the field, O.K.

First, what sounds like a very interesting book about the nature of fetishism, "The Other Side of Desire"Aarkeybabble : Fetish fashions are getting more accepted and mainstream

Read the reviews & Interviews:
NY Times
Slate.com

And lastly, an ABC article: "Kinky Sex Is on the Rise, Therapists Say" - link. At the very least, it's clear that fetish fashions are becoming more accepted by the younger generation. I just hope the boys of today appreciate how good they have it!

Daily Distraction #8 - "Malice Amarantine"

Update: I had written this blog entry without knowing who the model was. She has been ID'd by a few readers as "Malice Amarantine" - and you can find out more about her at her blog: Beautydestroyed.

Aarkeybabble : Corset Girl would make a pretty good super hero, or mistress, or just a fetish model for that matter. My first real job out of college was pretty cool. I was the network admin and web master for Dugent publishing company. We published a slew of 2nd and 3rd tier "adult sophisticate" mags. The two biggest names we did were Gent and Nugget, and I'm sure some of the old school kinksters remember Nugget, they were really the first fetish mag that was out there. It was pretty much a real "anything goes" with it - and it was definitely worth a few nervous laughs. While it wasn't nearly as sexy a job as some of my peers thought when I first told them about it, there were definitely moments of fun, and surprising to some - I actually felt like I was making a contribution to society, if only by helping people be comfortable with their kinks.

One of the fun times came when I'd been there a year or so, and a few pictures from an advertiser came across my desk. I don't recall what company it was for, I think it might've been Stormy Leather (who's corset manufacturing annoys the hell out of me because they're in "small, medium, large" which is just ignorant)... anyway this young woman's figure struck me. She was so deliciously tiny waisted, and looked completely comfortable laced up. It was a big plus that she looked a good bit like one of those ex's too. And as such, "corset girl" burned into my memory and my imagination.

So I called in a favor with the editor of Nugget and asked if I could try to arrange for a photo shoot of that model, he said sure and setup the communications. We had a photographer setup that she knew out in the area, and I got to talk to her. I inquired how small she could lace down, and she said she could lace down to a 20" inches, and thought she could go as low as 18" for a short period. I inquired if she had ever waist-trained to get that small, and she said she was totally natural. I wondered if she'd be willing to train for a bit before the shoot if I sent her a smaller corset to train with, and then probably got a lot too greedy - inquiring if she smoked, and if she would be comfortable with doing a Female Dominant theme, and she though sounded pretty ok with all of it; though by the end of our conversation I got the feeling like she thought I was perhaps just a wanker.

Sadly, when we tried to make confirmation calls a couple weeks later to setup the actual date and time for the photo shoot, she never returned them. And I never ever saw any pictures of her again.

I swear there were a few more pictures of her than these 4 that have survived on my hard-drive transfers over the years, if anyone finds any others of her - feel free to send them over, I'd appreciate it.

Oh, and I wish these were bigger, back in the days when 800x600 was a high resolution these were plenty hot. Now they're about 1/10th the size I'd like to see them at.Aarkeybabble : Corset Girl would make a pretty good super hero, or mistress, or just a fetish model for that matter.

Chastity Links

Aarkeybabble : Chastity play can be really hot and sexy without release. Kinda.A new blogger: fantasies of chastity asked me earlier today for some links to chastity web sites & blogs. Most chastity blogs usually they tend to fade after a few months at most... here are some that I've got book marked:

I hope that keeps you folks out of trouble while I'm at Mardi Gras ;)

Cya in a week!

NoDuh!

Aarkeybabble : I blame the bikinisTell me something I don't know!

CNN thinks that it's news to report that "Men see bikini-clad women as objects" They're all deeply scientific, obviously.

Now in fairness, they are at least pretending to give it a real scientific pretense. It isn't just some lame excuse to show bikini pictures. If that was the case, they would just file an urgent report on a new game show where old men try to slip n' slide over a group of bikini clad Japanese girls!

Basically the area of a man's brain that lights up when we see an image of a woman in a bikini is the same area used to identify objects. Now, I wonder if they took out the bikini what would happen. Or put in high heels, or well... I donno, but I think it needs more testing for sure. :)

A Paragon of Mental Health

Aarkeybabble : A little bit crazy and different can be hot and excitingOccasionally I'm reminded that not everyone who's in the scene is all that mentally well. Of course, not everyone out of the scene is that mentally well either. Fortunately it isn't like it was just a generation ago, when the mental healthy profession thought that having any interest in BDSM (or just about any alternative sexuality, including homosexuality) was caused by a childhood trauma that needed to be unearthed and resolved.

The good news is there has been a great change in the mental health field over the last 20 years. And now there is a lot more understanding, tolerance and dare I say, acceptance for those of us who have a non-traditional idea of what "teh sexah" is.

And yet, not everyone in the scene is particularly well adjusted. Now, I'm no singling anyone out for any fetish or interest or activity. Not at all. I don't see it that way. There are kinks I don't "get" and things that I don't prefer, but I'm not so foolish as to think that because I'm not into it that it is somehow wrong, or comes from a place that is inherently emotionally unwell.

Aarkeybabble : But a whole lot crazy is just dangerousBut that definitely does not mean that everyone who's got a cuff on their wrist or a paddle in their hands is playing with a full deck. In some cases I think they're using a pinochle cards.

Now, I'm not saying that we need to doubt everyone - or that we need to start up with rules about conforming in our non-conformist club, but if a whole lot of folks say you're a duck, you might want to test the water?

I definitely don't mean to make light of a persons emotional health issues. But I don't think that it is something we should ignore either. If someone you knew were physically unwell, would you try to help them figure out what's wrong - and maybe get some help?

I'm not opposed to outside the box thinking either. But keep in mind that while you may think you're having a "Singing in the Rain" moment, you might actually be having a "we're streaking!!!" one.

So if you know someone out there who might be able to use a bit of help, please help them to seek out a kink aware professional. Being unique and eccentric is good fun, but too much of pretty much anything can become unhealthy. Aarkeybabble : Self Expression can be a artistic and creative, or not.

Migrations

Aarkeybabble : It's all good, unlike the Snorks. I'm not too sure about them yet. Now, I am not suggesting that coconuts migrate, but my files do.

Heya folks. You might've noticed that I haven't been blogging or online as much the last few days. Well that's because I've been moving my files over to a new PC. And this is my first entry from it.

The good news is, everything is going relatively smoothly so far. Though I keep remembering things I have to dig up off the old PC (like my Photoshop Actions.)

The bad news is, I'm way behind on updates and work and still getting things up to snuff on the PC.

So, yer all going to have to deal with some less entries for a bit. Plus, the fiancee and I are going to be heading out of town for Mardi Gras toward the end of this week, and I am not sure I'll be able to update much on the road. On the plus side, the friend we're staying with is a sassy smoker and my fiancee always smokes more around her, so I'll be happy this week even though I don't drink ;)
Aarkeybabble : I don't know the context of this, but I still like it a lot.Oh, and really this is totally OT - I just think stories like this deserve more press. We're always so focused on the ugly side of things, the negativity. Those who do people wrong. Why can't we show those who do people right sometimes too - ya know?
Miami banker gives $60 million of his own to employees

You know what I think?

Well, you do if you were here last year for VD day.

But I'm ok with it today. This holiday still sucks. Even when I can say today with all my heart that I am in love, and my fiancee is beyond awesome. And even though she's got my heart - I'm happy for it.

I hope you can say the same. If not... I'm 100% behind you if you happen to egg a hallmark store. :)
Aarkeybabble : She has got my heart, and I could not be happier about it.I think this insanely awesome artwork is by: creaturesinmyhead.com, but I'm not 100% sure. :-/

Your Soundtrack

Aarkeybabble : Life - what does yours mean to you?One of the things that's always been important to me is my privacy, so I keep my kink world and vanilla world pretty separated. However, I just did this list of "What would your life's soundtrack be" on Facebook, and I actually found it all to be rather interesting. And in the end, much deeper than I thought - maybe too deep. I got serious and reflective and all that grown up stuff. Wondering how I'd be remembered, what was the meaning, etc, etc.

But I thought it was fun, and I hope some of you post yours. If you haven't heard these, I hope you give them a listen - especially the Kwoon & Royskopp - both are just awesome videos. So...

OT: Time Vampires

I'd never heard that expression before this morning, but is that just perfect or what?

The source? The Onion News Network (ONN)

Admin warning for language (their embed thing didn't work - just click the image)

Snarky Little Fockers...

Aarkeybabble : Stop right there!I just noticed while uploading some future images to use on ImageShack, that they'd deleted a few of my images. I won't name which ones they removed, but I don't know why they would bother with them... but they did, and that's just annoying. I put stuff up there to save on my own site's bandwidth!

Meh!

What's got me curious is that they were out of a specific post. So I wonder if there was something about them that flagged it. Hrm... either way, I've worked around it and fixed it now..

Well I won't let those cheeky buggers stop me from showing what I want to. I have other ways! Muhahahaha. Either way, if anyone notices any of the larger blow up images not coming up at all, feel free to e-mail me and let me know. Tnx.
Aarkeybabble : You can not stop me for long!

Daily Distraction #7 - Metal Locked

Eva Mendez in the D&G locking metal corset.
Aarkeybabble : Eva Mendez - another lovely lady locked in a corsetHopefully the next version will be locked in the back too ;)

I'm not sure how to file these

Aarkeybabble : Little Red WTF?But I simply HAVE to share them:

1) http://www.mastasia.com - W.T.F?

2) http://www.theonion.com - Too funny.

Thanks Elihu @ the Hang for the Onion link. :)

Photo Retouching

It's been a while since I talked about photo retouching. This video shows some "madd skillz" at Photoshop... This guy is bold and talented. I've never even imagined the idea of going for tweaking eyes and adding eyeliner like that. I don't know why, but I find it particularly entertaining how his chat icon pops up and he finally dismisses it at the 2:09 mark.

And in case you don't think Photoshopping is all that common, here's an animated gif I made from two pictures of Sarah Michelle Gellar. Someone had posted a whole series of shots of Ms. Gellar on the KinkyGerlinky forum, and I noticed that out of a series, there were two which seemed eerily similar.

Daily Distraction #6 - Claudia Black

I guess there's something in the air...

First, someone mentioned her and Farscape on the Max Fisch board, so I had to grab a bunch of pictures of her from the first episodes of Season 9 of Stargate SG1. Because Ms. Black is dommyummmy when she's laced up in a leather corset, then again, who wouldn't?
Aarkeybabble : Claudia Black looks like a leather Mistress in Stargate SG1
And then on Friday someone on smoking celebs mentions a scene in a TV show called City Life from 1996, where she did this whole film noir detective bit. Now I'd seen one screencap in the past from that, but now a whole YouTube clip showed online. Unfortunately there are no inhales or exhales, though she's long been suspected of being an IRL smoker, but that just be a naturally raspy voice *wink*

So I got lots more yummy screen caps.
Aarkeybabble : Claudia Black dangles her 100mm cigarette with a natural talent

Respect

Some people say respect is earned and not given. I've never understood that logic. I like to start with respect and go from there. One thing about the internet, respect is harder to find here.

Aarkeybabble : Pandora's Box unleashed evils upon mankind... does spam count?Just recently I got offended by the disrespect of endless spam. The staff for Pandora's Box, not to be confused with Pandora Radio which rocks... popped into the Max Fisch forum, and did what they do 99% of the time. They post quickly into a few forums, the same message (this week it was that they wanted someone to come clean their dungeon) and then they're off again. It's always the same kind of solicitation. "Come see Mistress Hotpants! She's got hot pants!!!" and then they're gone. No discussion, just pure solicitation & spam. And then, a few days later it's a few more of the same, but next time it's... "Mistress Tinyfeet!!! OMG!!!! She's got tiny feet!!!"

Fortunately Max is around to delete it. And if they wanted to put it in the announcement forum I wouldn't care less, but what they're doing is really just vandalism. Hey, I'm glad they're a long standing and good dungeon. I'm glad that some folks think they contribute to the scene at large by running Paddles. And I've been to paddles. It's a decent business. It looks like it's a fair gig there. But, it is a business. They seem to make money there, and get PR from it and host their own stuff there. But does that really have anything to do with how they act on the forums? Correct me if I'm wrong, send me a link, show me where they have contributed to the forums.

What's really bad is that there's no need for it.

Aarkeybabble : Here's a little bit of comic relief for the rantIs it that tricky to be respectful of the larger BDSM community - even if it's "just online" like this forum? How hard is it to couch their request as part of a topic - to enter into a discussion. Lots of other dommes and dungeons are smart enough to pull it off. Yes I know that 95% of the people in the business here are making commercial oriented posts. But they aren't so ugly and blatant about it. Here, let me help them. Next time they want someone to clean the dungeon post this:

Aarkeybabble : Here's a little bit of comic relief for the rantSubject: Cleaning Maids
Here are PB we recently had an opening for a cleaning maid! There is nothing more fun than seeing a grown man in a sissy maid outfit pushing a vacuum across the floor, dusting the dungeon, and they *WILL* do windows, or else! Anyone here who just loves being of service and making a dungeon spotless?"

See, there ya go, that wasn't too hard - was it? Pop in a day later, post some replies, and voila, it's not spam. It's a topic for discussion. I bet it not only gets you more responses, but it's a much better message than the spammy solicitations. Most dommes are smart enough to figure that system out. Bring up the topic that you want. Mention that you like that topic, that you do that topic. Anything goes as long as it's allowed on the forum. Talk about sessioning in gym clothes, or a tight corset, or topless - any of those topics are fine (personally I prefer the corset one btw.)

Aarkeybabble : Peta are the kind of jerks who like vandalism. I hope they like getting it in return too. When I really tried to figure what irked me so much about it - the bottom line about what PB does now, is it's barely above vandalism. Is it really that different from someone taking a marker and writing on the bathroom wall at Paddles... "CHAT ONLINE ABOUT BDSM AT MAXFISCH.COM!" Yah, I know, the forum is just pixels - not quite the same as writing in marker. But it's not like you can't erase markers with a little work (maybe a bit more than erasing pixels... but the point is still the same.)

And really, I think that neither action has real merit. Neither action is appropriate. And neither action should be condoned by being ignored.

/rantmodeoff

Along the respect lines, I owe a bit of props to Ms. Jaime Passier-Armstrong, who plays Mistress Constance in Legend of the Seeker. Which I talked about a few times in January - here, here & here. She was the Mistress in episode 8 whom Mistress Deena passed the Seeker to for additional and more brutal punishment. Sorry Ms. Passier-Armstrong, no disrespect intended ;)
Aarkeybabble : Jaime Passier-Armstrong as Mistress ConstanceMaybe the Onion News is right, this poor behavior is caused by the impact that reality shows on our society. *shrug*

Daily Distraction #5

How's this for a particular fetish? Corsetted and bound serving maids!
Aarkeybabble : corsetted and bound serving maids - hrmmmmObviously someone out there has a thing for attractive women with their arms bound behind them, wearing a corset and stockings. A serving tray is secured around their corsetted waist and it is then attached to a collar. Breasts and privates may be covered or exposed, and gags are also optional as well. Red and black are obviously preferred theme colors. I'm not sure if the ankle hobble chain is standard or optional, we don't get to see to the feet in one of the pictures, so your guess is as good as mine.

Either way, please don't feel sorry for these ladies. It might be just their perfect fantasy too, ya never know. Plus, I'm sure someone out there has ideas about how to take it to the "next level."

Geek Term: IRL

Aarkeybabble : Alessandra Ambrosio thinks VS has multiple meaningsIRL = In Real Life. It is a term that I first heard within the smoking fetish newsgroup community of: alt.sex.fetish.smoking back in like 94 or 95. It was used to refer to actresses who not only pretended to smoke for a role in a movie, like Jennifer Love Hewitt, but IRL'rs are actresses who smoke regularly, like Lindsay Lohan or Kate Beckinsale. Ultimately though, IRL is not specific to the smoking community at all. It isn't really something that would fit specifically in "The Deviant's Dictionary" - (Thanks for the link, Mistress Miranda Rider.) Over the years, I have learned is that IRL is actually a pretty common term in online stuff - especially gaming. Along with BRB (be right back) AFK (away from keyboard) STFU NOOB! (shut the fuck up, noob!) - well that last one isn't too common.

Any way, lately my real life has been very busy. As such, a huge lack of updates. Sorry about that. I'm offering everyone a full refund! :)

So, today, a few distractions all at once. First, someone posted this sassy video of Danica Patrick from the Jimmy Kimmel show:

All I've got to say is, I told ya so!
