Pretty much every device I've tried has it, and I suspect it's all the louder on a metal belt. Some dommes love knowing that their sub is just a little bit "out" by the click. And some subs love the excitement that comes from the more self-conscious "do they all know?!?"This week I found another work around. While some prefer just on the cage to soften it, I had used to use a rubber band around the whole lock & cage, before find out how well outdoor strength velcro would work (indoor strength won't make it past a couple showers.)
But this simple work around was new to me, get a pedometer.
My wife signed us up at the Y to track how many steps we take (or don't) and it makes a similar subtle shifting noise when I walk. So if you want to cover the sound of your clicking belt, well I figured I'd throw this suggestion out to you all.Not that it'll help. I'm sure all the women in the office already know full well you are locked up by your dominant. At least since she circulated those pictures in the office e-mail...
Oh wait, you didn't know about that, did you? :P

I put a dab of silicone caulking on top of the tube, so the lock bumps something soft. I also covered the lock in some softer plastic tubing.
Aaaah... That clicking sound is magical. Chastity devices, collars, cuffs... an instant drop into subspace...
And do other people at work know when I have locked ankle cuffs under my work pants, with the little sound of the locks clanging with every step I take? Hmmm...
Awesome job on the blog, by the way. I've been reading it for a long time, and being on my blog roll, I check out every new entry.
On a side note, that picture of who may be your then-girlfriend and now-wife lying down and lighting a cigarette a few months back was totally, totally hot. Most definitely GET.

Tom : always handy with another fix! Thanks for the suggestion.

Dymion: Thanks for the post and the compliment. That other woman was not in fact my wife, I'm very careful to make sure neither of our faces ever appear on the blog. Privacy is just something that's too important for us both.
But I'm 100% in agreement on the hotness ;)
Hmmm.. I also find certain sounds very erotic. The sound of high heels clicking on a hard wood floor, the sound of a cane swishing through the air, the creak of supple black leather... I haven't gotten to experience the sound of a chastity lock clicking shut yet but I never say never. After all Her Majesty and I have only just started down this road. Maybe someday! ;-)
HMP: Some sounds are definitely sexy. As a smoking fetishist, I've also conditioned myself to those sounds.
Of course all that is not to be confused with urethral sounds, which are a totally different matter ;)
"My wife"!
Nice!
Oh... was there more to your post?? have to re-read it.
I wrap my lock with black electrician's tape to keep it from clicking or wearing the silicon band on my Birdlocked.
OK: I'm not sure what you mean, but yah... my wife. :)
slave2MN: Another pair of work arounds ;)
Do you mind me asking where you found the master lock as pictured in your jailbird review on chastity heaven please? http://www.chastityheaven.com/images/reviews/TheCageReview-04.jpg
Jonathan, Masterlock has modified the design in the last couple years, so finding it is tougher than it used to be. The new ones have a TSA symbol on it and can take a TSA key. They are wider and the TSA symbol is sharp. It's metal, but might be able to be filed down... either way, they're not as friendly.
That said, the one pictured is still out there. In the last few months, I've seen them at: Target, Kmart & Sears
Note: They made two variations of them, one has a 1/4" longer loop, which doesn't affect the CB#### lines, but it has affected my use with the Cage. I can use it with the cage that has the special "Aarkey ring" (separate ring & pin) but with the solid ring/pin my locks are too long.
So I'm on the look out for a silver pair (they sell in 2 or 4 per set) that has the shorter loop... no luck on that yet. But I've seen the longer loops. Hope that helps. It's definitely a nicer look then the boxy "master" ones.
