Now, being a good (and greedy) fetishist, I'd have hoped that as she got more accustomed to the corset, and the way it alters her body's movement, that she would've been willing to lace a little smaller in progressive seasons - that has occasionally happened ya know. It's not entirely fantasy - but as these images show, over the course of the series, Jeri's corset became a corselette, and eventually just a girdle. In fairness, the original corset was not only pretty tight, but it was also a very long corset. This image shows how far up and down the corset actually extended.
The good news is that although Jeri wasn't super inclined to stay corsetted for Star Trek - she did inspire others. And no, I'm not talking about William Shatner wearing a girdle in the Star Trek movies, and hair piece too. I'm talking about corsetiere, Evening Arwen, at Etsy.com, who has made a Star Trek inspired corset!
Now, not to be a stinker, but the corset looks pretty casual. Not that it won't give you a bit of yummy lift and squeeze, but it's clearly not designed for tight lacing. And although the model is very cute, as one of my friends mentioned - she's got more va-va and voom than most models. So, I gave her corset laces a bit of cyber tugging and a little Photoshoppin' here and there. All with the goal that the corset lines were more to my liking. *wink*
In case you can't see all of what I did to it, take a peek at the comparison image. I thought about trying to make it a gold (administration) or blue (science) color, but that was too much work, so I settled on giving her a bit of matching red lipstick ;)Oh, and in case you weren't aware, they're releasing a new Star Trek "Original Series" cast film in May. It looks insane. I'm doing my best not to watch any previews for it (since every damned movie preview these days insists on showing you the entire film reduced to 60 seconds.) I'll definitely see it the opening weekend, and I can't tell you the last time I did that for a movie. But I'm an old school Trekkie. I like when the Klingon's were bad guys and the women were in go-go boots and skirts and if they were green - that just made other women jealous. Anyone who is a fan of "TNG" (The Next Generation) isn't a real Trekkie. They're just tree hugging posers. That's not my opinion, it's a fact. And that's all the blog that's fit to write! :P

I like Jeri's eye thing!
Your photoshop ethic totally shines through on the makeover of the Evening Arwen model.
Consistent appreciable improvement, subtly rendered.
And even though it's not tight lacing, that trekkie corset for sure highlights her substantial charms. In fact, it makes me want to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, and to boldly go where no man has gone before.
Well, okay, some guys probably went there before but I could suspend my disbelief. :-)
I'm glad you appreciated the photo shopping. It's one of those things that I can get lost in and not even realize how much time I've spent in there working - and there's always more to tweak. Finding a point and saying "enough" can be tough.
And who knows, perhaps she's never been with a human before - at least not in "that way" :P
Great job!
I think you did a super job - love the "new and improved" Evening Arwen.
Jeri Ryan was always hot - its a shame she became a "slacker" ;-).
Hi Aarkey:
Wow! Jeri Ryan is definitely super hot! Who ever thought Star Trek and corsets could go together? Victorian boudoir science fiction fetish or intergalactic oxymoron?
As always your post was very educational for those of us less well versed in the fine art of corseting. Can't believe you modified the already smoking model in the red Trekki corset to better suit your perverse perfectionist predilections! (Warning! Too much morning coffee may lead to extensive alliteration!)
I was a huge Star Trek fan as a kid and I am sure my sexuality was influenced by the show as it was also influenced by The Avengers and Batman. I know I am dating myself here but Lt. Uhura's beautiful legs and awesome black leather boots made a huge impression on me! ;-)
*Note: Either blogger thought your post should have been about toilet games or else it just didn't like my contribution. Your word verification made me type in "flush" :-p
HMP: I was just a few years behind ya. Rather than credit the Avengers (I didn't get introduced to that until I was in my 20s) I was a influenced by Buck Rogers. But Star Trek and Batman in syndication definitely played a big part too.
What's really funny for me, I always had the hots for the villainesses... I wonder why that was ;)
I can relate Aarkey. Love those bad girls! Good girls are boring! ;-)
You just *had to* show me a Star Trek corset, didn't you? Grrrr!
I fully intend to link to it on my blog with a not very casual mention that my birthday is next week!

HMP: There is absolutely nothing better than good bad girls. :)
TQ: I hope you get the corset. I can't imagine it being more appropriate for anyone than yourself - though it only seems to come in red, and being an "expendable red" is definitely not the way I think of you at all.
