Sheesh, I can't believe I've been online that long. I was chuckling earlier today at the fact that I've devolved into someone who uses silly web slang terms. When I got online back in '94, the little acronyms really annoyed me. And I started to wonder about what the next generation was going to do to our language. Obviously languages evolve and change over time. But I guess it was my background in English literature, or perhaps it's because I type as quickly as I can (around 100wpm) - but the whole, ROFLMAO!!! just grated on my nerves. Maybe it was because I have never actually seen anyone fall down and roll around laughing. Ever. And there are people who ROFLMAO at the drop of a pun.Either way, I don't know when it started, but I do know that I get a chuckle out of just about any LOL cats. Maybe it is because they're
cats and not people, so I have lowered my expectations. I see things like "MOAR!!!" all the time on forums where geeks share pictures of attractive women. And I get a chuckle. Maybe it's excusable because of the lack of blood in the brain caused by the whole "Tarzan have really big lust for Jane!" kind of thing, but I give it more leeway than I once did. A lot more.And as best I can tell, the next generation is going to be ok. More freedom isn't always a bad thing. Obviously in most common mall areas there aren't going to be gangs of girls who sit around, smoking cigarettes and looking super hot - like there were back when I was growing up *dreamy sigh* - but at least fetishy clothes are a lot more mainstream.
Evolution, devolution... whatever. Maybe it's just an excuse for me to post some more pictures. :)

Well, I don't know - there seems to be plenty of relatively hot girls in the mall (although I might be somewhat out of touch with current fashions). True, they can't smoke in the mall anymore, but I don't think we can win that one :(.

And yah, cigarette or not - a pretty woman is a pretty woman - there's no doubt about that.
But I do miss the days when they would group up as a pack and sit around chatting and just being hot. I tried to fantasize that they were all there scheming to get me and drag me off for naughty things. Ahh, the perverted mind of a pre-pubescent. :)
Dude, I like think I'm soooo cool because I know what ROFLMAO means. I like, had to google it, like, five months ago ... but I know what it means. Yah, the new generation is cool ... but sometimes I just feel awfully old school.
Advo, if you had to lookup what ROFLMAO then I can guarantee that you are old school - so old school in fact, that it isn't even spelled "awld skool" :)
