Call me a fetish snob

Call me a fetish snob, but sometimes the little things can totally detract, distract, or even destroy something that is otherwise so fetishy hot. Here we have Lindsay Lohan looking all kinds of sassy in a leather dress, with gooey lipstick and dark sunglasses... and then I see those fingernails. The chipped black nail polish, nails bitten down to the skin. Total fetish buzz kill.

Earlier this week I replied to a blog entry comment by a good friend,
Miss Troy Orleans. Miss Orleans highly recommended that I run to the theater to catch Kiera Knightley's smoking in "Atonement", however Kiera smokes hand rolled cigarettes. And while that's not a total kill for me, it is a huge distraction. Of course there are other smoking fetishists who just love the hand rolled cigarettes. Some for the style of it, some for the ceremony, some for the higher level of nicotine & tar - to each their own... it's just not my thing.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure I'll check it out at some point, but it'll be on DVD for sure ;)

I'm right there, with you. Her job is to be hot. Period! When she's out of rehab, I mean :). So, these nails for a photo shoot are simply inexcusable!
I saw the Atonement and Kiera does look pretty hot smoking, but she just doesn't try to do it for "us". I mean there isn't any of those scenes of letting the guy light up her cigarette so that she can blow the smoke in his face... fwit, it is a good movie too.

The nails are something that, although obviously it is Linsey's body and all, and she has to take care of it - but any photographer or studio should have some basic things such as nail polish, or run to the corner store and spend $5 and get some and then 10 mins to put it on. I mean... sheesh!

And your remarks about Kiera are classic smoking fetishists wanting just want they want. Clearly I'm not the only "fetish snob" out there. FWIW, I am a HUGE fan of the whole "ceremony" of the attentive, submissive man, lighting a woman's cigarette. OTOH, I'm not a big fan of the smoke in the face thing. It can be a very dommy statement, but over and over really loses it's impact for me. But that's just one of those things that varies from one fetishist to another.
